The warmth of fabric and the luster of lacquer

These custom-made vessels were individually turned by a trusted woodturner based on designs drawn by the artist themselves.

The exterior features "Nunome-nuri" (cloth-impregnated lacquerware), where linen cloth is hardened with lacquer, while the interior has filled wood grain and is finished with lustrous black lacquer.

The rim of the mouth is reinforced with Japanese paper.
