The Pulse of Life Within the Eternal Pine

This is a handcrafted, lacquer-finished raden (mother-of-pearl) obi clasp that captures the dignified presence of the pine tree, a traditional Japanese symbol of good fortune. Carved from a soft, delicate form of cypress (hinoki) wood, each piece is imbued with the traditional techniques of lacquer artistry. The subtle shimmer of the inlay adds a touch of refined elegance to kimonos, yukata, and other traditional Japanese attire.

A One-of-a-Kind Radiance Born from Artisanship

To create this piece, we meticulously applied green pigment to the reverse side of iridescent abalone shell. The deep green hue dwelling within the shell reveals a mystical expression that shifts gracefully depending on the angle of the light.

Versatile 2-Way Design

Designed for versatility, this piece functions not only as an obi clasp but also as a stunning pendant top when paired with your own chain. With its elegant aesthetic, it is a perfect accessory to incorporate into both your traditional ensembles and your everyday wardrobe.

Additionally, this product is handcrafted with multiple layers of lacquer. Due to this characteristic, there may be subtle irregularities or dust particles on the lacquered surface, which we hope you will appreciate as part of the individuality of a handmade piece.
