Traditional Sun and Moon Motif, Lightly Rendered

The sun and moon motif is depicted in maki-e with gold and silver powder on the inner and outer rims of the bowl.

This is a custom-made bowl, with each piece individually turned by a trusted woodturner based on a design drawn by the artist themselves.

The rim of the mouth and the foot are reinforced with washi paper.
